Diane Snowball is one of Australia's most highly respected educators, significantly influencing literacy teaching in Australia and the USA.

She is the author of Spelling K-8: Planning and Teaching, Teaching Comprehension K-9 (CD-ROMs), Focus on Spelling (DVDs), Writer's Word Book and many other resources and children's books.

Diane was the co-founder of Australian United States Services in Education (AUSSIE), a company of 300 literacy and mathematics consultants. She was a literacy consultant for 30+ years in Australia, USA, NZ and Canada

She is a former teacher of mathematics and science, teacher-librarian, K-6 classroom teacher, assistant principal, Officer in Charge Footscray Demonstration Unit, lecturer at Coburg Teachers College, Toorak Teachers College and Deakin University, Invited Scholar at Teachers College Columbia University and New York University.
