About this teaching resource
Our Making Connections Thinkmark takes readers into the secret world of good reader thinking. How do good readers make powerful and relevant connections to characters, events, problems and situations as they read? Our prompts will support readers to think in strong and thoughtful ways to give them personal insights into the life of the story.
Develop your students' ability to make strong connections by demonstrating the different ways good readers draw on their own experiences to really understand character motivations, feelings and actions.
Our Thinkmark will anchor the good thinking that you have demonstrated, and prompt students to independently practise the strategies of good readers.
And don't forget to get your students talking and writing about their discoveries and thinking too! They will have so much to share.
The Good Reader Thinkmark series prompts readers to discover what thinking they can practice to deepen their engagement with, and comprehension of books.
