About this teaching resource
Our Word Solving Actionmark supports readers to expand their repertoire of word solving strategies to new and unfamiliar words as they are reading. As readers move into ever more interesting and vocabulary rich texts, they will want the keys to not only unlock a new word but to understand what it means.
Readers at this stage need many opportunities to explore new and interesting words, develop a great interest in words and discover many new ways to 'get at' the rich words that fill the books they want to read.
Develop your students word solving strategies whilst growing their interest in discovering words and their meanings through plenty of demonstrations.
Our Thinkmark will anchor the good thinking that you have demonstrated, and prompt students to practise the strategies of good readers independently.
