If you are wondering how to support your students to use letter knowledge and transfer it to their reading and writing, then you’ve found the answer!
Letter Explorations are the perfect whole class or small group activity to develop deep understanding of the alphabetic principle.
How to use:
- Enlarge the Letter Exploration sheet to A3.
- Read a book that highlights the letter being explored to your students.
- Have your students listen and look for words that begin with and/or contain the letter.
- Record your words and sound discoveries on the chart
- List any words that make your students ‘wonder’.
