Bring joy to your listeners, readers and writers through poetry. We've sourced public domain poems to help create readers and writers who explore rhyme, rhythm, spelling patterns, letter knowledge, word meanings, punctuation; enable practice in fluency, expression, phrasing, visualising, predicting, connecting; and provide inspiration, motivate poetic innovations, explore literary devices and create writers.
All poems @ Teachific come ready to photocopy for whole class shared reading (A4, enlarge to A3) and for independent reading (A5, A4), personal readers.
B was an Bat: Part of Nonsense Alphabet 3 by Edward Lear. This alphabet provides the opportunity for further exploration of new and interesting words to extend vocabulary and concepts. Why not create a complete Big Book of the Nonsense Alphabet 3 with illustrations, including student research. Older students could be inspired by this version to create a number of content specific verses to go with an area of study, such as a HASS unit.
