The Comprehension Mini Lessons - Flip Chart, Yrs 2-6, is part of Launching the Reader's Workshop, within our Reading and Writing Workshop Units.

The Reader's Workshop comprises:

• Mini Lesson; Teacher reads aloud, demonstrating thinking; students practise thinking whilst listening; brief class discussion
• Independent Reading: Students practise using the thinking prompt as they read their just right text independently.
• Share: Students share their thinking from their own reading and/or the read aloud.

Mini lessons are given for the following. (We suggest enlarging to A3 and display on charts or make a Big Book. This is a great way to prompt you and the class as to the lessons you have covered, and those still left to teach).
