The main purpose for this document, Suggestions for Learning Specific High Frequency Words, Yrs F-2, is to help teachers to know the best ways to teach each of the 1-100 Oxford List high frequency words.

Since these are the words used over 50% of the time in children's reading and writing, it is so important that these words are learned well. They will also lead to the coirrect spelling of the many words linked to these 100 words.

Although the focus is on learning how to spell words, learning the correct spelling will also help children to read the words.
