About this teaching resource

Teaching letter names through experiences that involve using children's names 'is one of the most powerful means of teaching children about letters'. Snowball, D. and Bolton, F. Spelling K-8 Planning and Teaching

How Long is My Name?: Names are one of the most important words to young learners.
How Long is My Name? is a great Kindergarten investigation throughout the year.
Together with your students investigate counting and naming letters and comparing the lengths of names, with lots of exploring and wondering along the way.

Includes: Mini lesson and name templates.

The Teachific Name Game series provides a range of activities that can form part of a regular weekly/daily routine, and some activities that are useful to repeat on a more irregular basis throughout the year.
